Global Display Settings

Your global display settings serve as the default style for your message campaigns. Setting a default message placement, accent color, and background color will allow you to quickly set up future message campaigns. Click the icon in the top right corner to get to your settings.

Message Placement

The message placement options controls the position of the message and how it will display in relation to your website. Here is a brief explanation of each option:

  • Top Insert – The message displays at the top of the page with an animation that appears to push your webpage down to make room for the message bar. The message bar doesn’t cover the elements on your page.
  • Top Overlay - The message displays at the top of the page with an animation that lays over the top of your webpage. This message bar will cover elements on your page.
  • Bottom – The message displays in a fixed position at the bottom of the page and stays there as the page scrolls.
  • Inline – This option requires you to enter the html snippet <div id="so_message"></div> into your page. The message will display like a top-insert in the specific spot where you placed the html.
  • Popup – The message pops up near the top of the website over a slightly opaque background that covers the page.

Stop showing after

The “stop showing after” setting controls how many times a message will display for a specific visitor. You can set this to display a specific number of times, or set it to always display. This setting will affect all of your messages.

Accent Color

Click the “Accent Color” bar to choose the border color that displays around the message box. Again, you can select from the color picker or enter the color hex.

Background Color

Click the “Background Color” bar to specify the main color for the message bar. For the popup type of message, this is the only color that will display. You can select from the color picker or enter the color hex.
