Default Message


How does it work?


Your default message is different from other message types in Spinnakr because it does not target a specific traffic source.  Instead, it serves as a fallback message that will display for all visitors who are not being targeted by a specific message campaign. If you have no other campaigns active, it will display for all visitors.


How should I use default messages?


The default message should be general enough to apply to any visitor. You can use it to include an extra call to action on the page to reinforce your primary goals. You can also us it to display temporary information that you'd like to communicate to the visitor without changing your website. You can even use it to engage your visitors in a more personal way like a weekly greeting, sharing news, or commenting on current events. There are endless ways to use the default message so get creative and try it out.
