What you will need:
-
Access to the source code of your website
-
Basic familiarity with HTML
Setting up the Spinnakr code on your website:
1. Log in to your Spinnakr account and click on the site name next to the Spinnakr icon to make sure that the correct website is selected.
2. You can find the code you will be adding to your website in the box labeled “Your Code” which will contain a few lines of Javascript. Click the Copy to Clipboard link and your code will be ready to paste into your website.
*Note: If your website is https, select the box labeled “Code with SSL support” before copying to the clipboard.
3. Paste your code just before the </body> closing tag in the footer of your site. You’ll want to make sure it’s on each page you would like Spinnakr to analyze and display messaging on.
*Note: If you use a WYSIWYG ("What you see is what you get") editor (Dreamweaver, iWeb, Kompozer), make sure that you are using a mode that allows you to edit HTML instead of the Design mode. This may be the problem if you can see the tracking code on your website as text.
4. Check your Spinnakr account to make sure we have detected that the code has been successfully installed. You may need to click the blue “Ive added it, check again!” button before getting confirmation.
